National Records of Scotland has revealed that there were 82 drug-related deaths registered by NHS Ayrshire & Arran in 2018. The only year more drug-related deaths were recorded was in 2016, when 85 people across Ayrshire died due to drugs. Across NHS Ayrshire & Arran, the number of teenage pregnancies has declined from 715 in 2007 to 318 in 2016, a 55.5% decrease, with a 64.5% fall for under 18s.
