Visit to Refurbished Millport Town Hall

I was grateful to be given a tour of the nearly refurbished Millport Town Hall by chair Angie McCallum and Treasurer John McNeilly.

Since the town hall closed in 2016, their team of of volunteers and volunteer trustees have worked tirelessly to save this historic building and turn it into a vibrant and sustainable community asset, run by the local community.

The result is very impressive featuring a heritage centre, kitchen, men's shed, community garden, main hall, and income-generating flats.

Millport Town Hall has, to date, received £1,934,000 in Regeneration Capital Grant Funding from the SNP Government.

I look forward to visiting again soon.
