Delivering the opening address at this year’s Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS) Annual Environmental Health Forum, the Engine Shed, Stirling.  
 
REHIS is an independent Scottish charity that aims to promote the advancement of environmental health to benefit Scottish communities. It aims to boost interest and knowledge of environmental health issues, promoting its education and training. It works to maintain a high standard of professional practice among employees in the field and awards qualifications for success.
 
Kenneth Gibson is Honorary Vice-President of REHIS.
 
The 2018 Forum theme ‘Environmental Health: Providing a Sustainable Future’ consisted of a full day plenary and a morning of workshop sessions, covering a wide range of topical presentations relevant to professionals operating at all levels within their organisations.
 
The workshops included Food Safety and Food Standards; Occupational Health and Safety; Public Health and Housing; and Pollution Control and Environmental Protection.
