I was delighted to be present last Friday at Largs Community Garden, along with Patricia Gibson MP for the award of a Certificate of Excellence for Most Enhanced Station Buildings and Surroundings.
Thousands of stations across the UK compete in the Community Rail Awards, so this was a tremendous achievement for Largs.
More than 40 local people volunteer at Largs Community Garden. Through their hard work, this formerly derelict site has been turned into a beautiful and imaginative space, enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
