On Wednesday afternoon, Kenneth and members of the Arran Development Trust met with Islands Minister Paul Wheelhouse MSP to discuss connectivity between Arran and the mainland.
Kenneth followed this up with a question to the Minister on Thursday, asking him what the Scottish Government is doing to improve fleet resilience and reliability while work on the Glen Sannox continues.
Mr Wheelhouse set out that in the past financial year, the Scottish Government has spent £3.5 million on a resilience fund, while another £4 million has been allocated for this year.
Measures he mentioned include preparation when vessels are on dry dock and investment in vibration analysis to pick up wear and tear quickly and thus help prevent failure.
