On Tuesday, Kenneth convened the Cross-Party Group on Life Sciences at Holyrood.
Members heard an update on the continuing strong growth of the sector - worth £6.5 billion to the Scottish economy last year - from Ivan McKee MSP, Minister for Trade, Investment and Innovation.
Subsequently members enjoyed two fascinating presentations followed by questions and answers on Biotechnology, Innovation and Foods of the Future, from Dr Mark Bustard, CEO, Industrial Biotechnology Centre and Dr Paul Hudman, Technical Director, 3F BIO Ltd.
