March is Endometriosis Awareness Month across the UK and the first week of March is Endometriosis Awareness Week in Scotland.
Having organised the Parliamentary reception on behalf of Endometriosis UK last year, Kenneth was delighted to attend the event on Wednesday, with Monica Lennon MSP hosting as chair of the Cross Party Group on Women’s Health, of which Kenneth is a member.

The event was held in Holyrood to mark the beginning of Endometriosis Awareness Month, which aims to raise awareness of endometriosis, a condition affecting 1 in 10 women across Scotland.
Endometriosis is a menstrual health condition that can have a debilitating impact on women’s lives, including their mental and physical health. Latest research from the BBC involving over 13,500 women found that 94% of people with endometriosis have also suffered mental health problems and 54% experienced suicidal thoughts.
MSPs have a key role to play in supporting women with this condition and raising awareness of endometriosis both nationally and in their constituency.
Kenneth campaigned for the presence of a specialised West of Scotland Endometriosis Unit to improve access for women in and around North Ayrshire to specialist care and was delighted when this opened in Glasgow last April.
