Yesterday we met in Brodick Village Hall.
Chaired by Transport Minister Jenny Gilruth MSP, representatives of the Isle of Arran Ferry Committee (IoAFC), Transport Scotland, CalMac, CMAL, Peel Ports, NAC - including Leader Cllr Marie Burns and Chief Executive Craig Hatton - all participated.
Ms Gilruth and IoAFC stressed the urgency of concluding this project.
With everyone now on the same page, delivery of the Glen Sannox scheduled for May, the harbour redevelopment tender document in preparation and preparations at Troon for operating the service nearing completion, optimism is higher than for a long time that this project will be successfully delivered.
All of us are determined that it will be as soon as possible.
