This week is Baby Loss Awareness Week, a collaboration of over 60 charities and represents a time when parents and families across the world commemorate their babies' lives.
Breaking the silence around baby loss is important and Patricia Gibson MP, in particular, has done so much work on this.
All bereaved parents should get the best possible support, wherever they live and whenever they need it.
I am pictured next to a poster raising awareness of the National Bereavement Care Pathway. Supported by the SNP Government, this is being developed to improve the quality of bereavement care experienced by families at all stages of pregnancy and baby loss, up to 12 months.
The project is being led by the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society (SANDS) on behalf of charities and professional bodies in Scotland.
