Gibson Attends Ayrshire College Graduation

Students from Ayrshire College’s Kilwinning campus celebrated their graduation in style at the town’s historic Abbey Church.

The graduates were honoured at a spectacular ceremony in front of their families and friends, Ayrshire College board members and staff.

Principal and Chief Executive Heather Dunk said:

"It is fantastic to see so many proud friends and family members here to celebrate our students’ achievements. I am sure they will all continue to flourish with further study at college or university or in their chosen career. I wish them every success.”

Ayrshire College’s graduation ceremonies are being sponsored by the Ayrshire College Foundation.

Kenneth Gibson MSP added:

"Each year I look forward to attending the graduation ceremony of Kilwinning campus students. For the first time I even wore the Stirling University graduation gown!

"Ayrshire College is going from strength to strength, with the First Minister opening the new £60 million Kilmarnock campus on 12 December and some 620 businesses now being directly linked to Ayrshire College. "I have no doubt that the success of today’s graduates will inspire more people from North Ayrshire and beyond, young and not so young, to pursue further education here in Ayrshire.”
