Tomorrow Humza will become Scotland's First Minister, subject to a vote at Holyrood.
I have known Humza for many years and throughout his several ministerial posts.
I am particularly grateful for the support he provided to the Cross-Party Group on Life Sciences in his recent tenure as Health Secretary.
Commiserations also to third placed Ash Regan MSP and Kate Forbes MSP who finished a close second with 47.9% of the vote share in the second round.
The conclusion of the leadership ballot allows us all to move forward as party and country, by rallying behind our new SNP Leader Humza Yousaf.
