As confirmed yesterday by the Institute of Fiscal Studies and Office for Budget Responsibility at the Finance and Public Administration Committee, interest on the UK’s £2.6 trillion debt will be £22 billion higher this year than was forecast in March and will now reach £116 billion.
This equates to £318 million of taxpayers’ money per DAY! Or six times Scotland’s annual NHS Budget. Tory economic incompetence is increasingly stark. Now, more than ever, we need independence to escape this mess.
