Kenneth Gibson MSP continues to support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This Thursday in Holyrood, he joined with Janice Preston, Macmillan Head of Services in Scotland, to raise awareness for the charity’s flagship fundraising campaign which aims to raise millions to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can.
Last year, thousands of people across the UK took part in a Coffee Morning, raising over £27.5 million for Macmillan. This year the total raised by Coffee Morning since it began in 1991 will pass the £200m mark.
The official day for World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Friday 28th September and, for the twelfth consecutive year, Mr Gibson has organised a coffee morning in Dalry.
Kenneth Gibson MSP commented:
“The last Friday of September is always marked off in my diary for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. I will be delighted to welcome people to my annual Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 28 September from 10:00 – 12:00 in Rosearden Hall, Dalry.
“It is always a fun morning full of good conversation, delicious baking and some excitement in the form of a raffle, with every penny going to Macmillan Cancer Support.
“Macmillan supports cancer patients find their best way through from the moment of diagnosis and to help them live life as fully as possible. For information, support or just someone to talk to, please call 0808 808 00 00 or visit www.macmillan.org.uk”.
