Since becoming an MSP in the first Parliament, Kenneth has taken a very keen interest in reducing the harm caused by smoking. In July 2001, he put forward the Regulation of Smoking Bill which ultimately led to the smoking ban being implemented in 2006.
For many years now Kenneth has also been the Deputy Convener of the Cross Party Group on Tobacco and Health which aims to tackle the harm caused by tobacco use in Scotland. On Tuesday, Kenneth took part in a Scottish Government debate which will introduce new controls on the sale of nicotine vapour products. You can watch his contribution by clicking on the image above.
