North Ayrshire Pharmacy Opening Times over New Year Weekend


With GP practices being closed on Monday 03 and Tuesday 04 January 2022, North Ayrshire residents are being urged to prepare to cope with any common health concerns.


NHS Ayrshire & Arran has advised the following pharmacy opening times:


Saturday 1 January 2022


All pharmacies will be closed, except:


· Lloyds Pharmacy, 151 Main Street, Kilwinning – open 10am – 12noon

· Boots Pharmacy, Unit 2B, East Road, Irvine – open 12noon – 2pm


Sunday 2 January 2022


All pharmacies will be closed, except:


· Boots Chemist, 1 Fullarton Square, Irvine – open 12noon – 4pm

· Superdrug, 6B Aitken Street, Largs – open 11am – 5pm


Monday 3 January 2022


All pharmacies will be closed, except:


· Penman Pharmacy, 2 Eglinton Street, Beith – open 9am – 1pm

· Boots Pharmacy, 1 Fullarton Square, Irvine – open 12noon – 4pm

· Wm Morrisons Pharmacy, 4 Irvine Road, Largs – open 9am – 5pm


Tuesday 4 January 2022


All pharmacies will be closed, except:


· Penman Pharmacy, 2 Eglinton Street, Beith – open 9am – 5.30pm

· Boots Pharmacy, 1 Fullarton Square, Irvine – open 9am – 5.30pm

· Lawthorn Pharmacy, 1 Cardow Crescent, Irvine – open 9am – 5.30pm

· Superdrug, 6B Aitken Street, Largs – open 10am – 5pm

· Halliday Pharmacy, 5 Aitken Street, Largs – open 8.30am – 5.30pm

· Wm Morrisons Pharmacy, 4 Irvine Road, Largs – open 9am – 5pm

· Cumbrae Pharmacy, 30 Stuart Street, Millport – open 10am – 2pm


On the Isle of Arran there will be a Pharmacist on call for emergencies only, accessible by contacting NHS24 on (111) on both Monday 03 January and Tuesday 04 January 2022.

Everyone age 18 and over living in Ayrshire can now book their COVID-19 booster.

By 30 December, 78% of the eligible population in NHS Ayrshire and Arran had already received their COVID-19 Booster or Dose 3 Vaccine.


All age groups from 60+ years have an uptake of over 90% across Ayrshire and Arran and coverage is now above 60% in all 40+ age groups as at 29 December 2021.
