I had a constructive meeting with Laura Petrie, Senior Project Manager and Claire Dowse, Head of Operations at Galileo Green Energy regarding their proposed Crosbie Wind Farm.
Galileo is currently exploring a potential 78 MW Wind Farm on an upland area between Fairlie, West Kilbride and Dalry and hope to submit a Section 36 application to Scottish Ministers later this year.
We discussed the practicalities of the development as well as the potential annual community wealth fund of £390,000 to support local initiatives and projects for every year that the wind farm is in operation.
After over 150 people attended Galileo’s initial round of community engagement events which took place in November, the project team is currently refining the proposals for the wind farm further to feedback from these initial events and the results of ongoing environmental and ecological surveys on the site.
Galileo will be holding their second round of engagement events between 23 April and 01 May, the details of which are below:
Tuesday 23rd April Dalry Community Centre, 7pm to 9pm
Wednesday 24th April Fairlie Village Hall, 10am to 2pm
