Yesterday I visited Lamlash and met Howard Wood, Áine Purcell-Milton and Lucy Kay of the Community of Arran Seabed Trust (COAST), together with Martin Wood of Clauchlands Outdoor Centre.
Their brand new custom built vessel RV COAST Explorer will be used to support marine research, citizen science and education programmes.
Able to carry 12 passengers and two wheelchairs, the boat will also be an asset to Clauchlands, enabling children to go out on the water and undertake their own science projects.
