Yesterday I attended Holyrood Apple Day, which was a celebration of this year’s bumper apple harvest.
MSPs and visitors tasted some of Scotland’s vast collection of apple varieties and Scottish cider, and met fruit growers, schools, and community groups all working to promote a Fruitful Scotland.
I also put my name down for an apple tree, which I hope to plant in a school in my constituency. Last year it was St Palladius in Dalry.
Any community group or school that wishes to find out more should contact John Hancox, pictured with me, at: applejohn@icloud.com or go to: www.scottishfruittrees.com.
