Assisted Dying

Yesterday the Scottish Parliament debated the General Principles of Liam McArthur MSP’s Members’ Bill yesterday.

The Bill passed Stage 1 by 70 votes to 56, with one abstention.

It will now be amended at Committee at Stage 2 before progressing to Stage 3 for further amendment by the full Parliament and will then either become law, as amended, or fall.
