Explaining the Work of an MSP to Young Scots

I was pleased to step in last minute for one of my colleagues to do a Q&A with secondary school pupils from Braeview Academy, Dundee.

The pupils came for a visit to the Scottish Parliament, a tour of the building and to witness First Minister’s Questions.

The pupils were very interested in the work of MSPs and their questions covered a fascinating and diverse range of topics including my professional background, the functioning of democracy in Scotland, oil & gas exploration, vaping and – of course - Donald Trump.

The Scottish Parliament delivers free education sessions to over 22,000 Scottish pupils every year.
