Greenwheel Electric, Hunterston
was delighted to meet Kirstin Leckie and Martha Bytof of Greenwheel Electric at Fairlie Village Hall to discuss their plans for solar-powered EV charging hub at Hunterston Port and Resource Centre (PARC), followed by a site visit.
Greenwheel Electric, one of the UK's newest EV Charging infrastructure developers, are in the process of delivering a UK-wide roll-out of integrated charging hubs with 100% of the power generated from renewable sources.
They believe that Hunterston PARC is the ideal location to launch an EV charging hub.
Further to a local community drop in event on 11th June they are in the early planning process of engaging with contractors and gathering feedback, but aim to have ultra-rapid chargers across approximately 16 Hunterston charging bays.
If approved, they will also introduce community amenities and services and explained that they are committed to collaborating and working with local businesses, makers and producers.
Additional details will be added at a later development stage. In the meantime, further information can be found on their website:
