I was delighted to be invited to the first anniversary celebration of Clyde Coast & Cumbraes Men's Shed in Largs on Saturday.
The Shed allows for a regular meeting in the Brisbane Centre, Largs for all men over 18 who can choose to create, relax, repair, pursue a hobby, get practical help, share and learn new skills, completely free of charge.
It costs nothing to participate.
The Shed has made tremendous progress over the last year, with the energy and enthusiasm of volunteers building the membership to 88, aged from 18 to 93.
Thanks to Cllr Ian Murdoch and the enthusiastic team of volunteers who have worked so hard – backed by North Ayrshire Council – to deliver such progress in only a year.
Provost Anthe Dickson led the celebrations.
