A 12-month pilot fund has been launched by the Scottish Government for low-income households in specific areas of Scotland.
Those eligible can receive a £2,000 cash grant for scrapping an older vehicle plus up to £1,000 towards the cost of sustainable travel options with the Travel Better grant.
Further to making representations to also have the KA14, KA15 AND KA22 postcodes in Cunninghame North included, I was told by the Energy Saving Trust that Transport Scotland had indeed agreed to extend the funding to these three postcodes on top of the KA21, KA23, KA24, KA25, KA27, KA28 and KA30 postcodes that were already eligible.
