I found it really informative when attending the spring Cost of Living event organised by Radio City Association, at Garnock Community Social Club, Kilbirnie.
Soaring food prices, rising housing costs, and high energy bills mean that unfortunately the cost of living crisis remains the number one issue on people’s minds.
I had many insightful conversations with exhibitors about the support available to people in need, ranging from energy advice, money/debt support and training/employment opportunities.
Organisations that attended included North Ayrshire Council, Social Security Scotland, CEIS, SP Energy Networks and Home Energy Scotland (Pictured).
The SNP Government has also produced a Cost of Living website outlining payments that one may be entitled to, ways to reduce household costs, and support for families:
