I enjoyed talking to Stan Green, chairman of the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) Scotland’s Policy Development Group, who held a 'My Green Spaces' exhibition at Holyrood this week.
In collaboration with Christine Grahame MSP, this eye-catching exhibition celebrated the diversity of Scotland’s green spaces and the important contribution made by horticulture, landscaping and allotment spaces to Scotland’s health and wellbeing, economy and natural environment.
HTA members, including Cladach Sawmill & Garden Centre in Arran have developed a Scottish Environmental Horticulture Growth Strategy which aims to promote Scotland’s Environmental Horticulture and Gardening Industry, and ensure it has a robust and sustainable future.
