In his Programme for Government, First Minister Humza Yousaf MSP committed to recovering and reforming Scotland’s NHS to deliver sustainable services.
Key measures include:
• Expanding multi-disciplinary teams within GP Practices to deliver more appointments and ensure services meet local needs
• Opening the National Care Centre for Remote and Rural Health and Care to improve primary and community services
• Taking action to reduce vaping among non-smokers and young people, including a proposal to ban single-use vapes
• Reopening the Independent Living Fund with a £9 million investment enabling at least 1,000 disabled people to live an independent life
• Improved mental health and wellbeing services and providing increased miscarriage support
