ExistingHomeAllianceThe Existing Homes Alliance is a coalition of housing, environmental, fuel poverty and industry organisations calling for urgent action to transform Scotland’s existing housing stock and make it fit for the 21st century.
The Alliance is calling for an ambitious programme of low-carbon refurbishment of Scotland’s homes, along with incentives, support and regulations aimed at cutting greenhouse gas emissions and tackling fuel poverty.
The Callanish StonesAt the Callanish Stones during the Local Government and Communities Committee’s evidence-gathering visit to the Western Isles. We met people with experience of fuel poverty to help ensure the SNP Government’s Fuel Poverty Bill is sensitive to the particular needs of island residents.

Funding Fayre 2018The Funding Fayre in Saltcoats Town Hall, which I organised together with Patricia Gibson MP, was another success. Hundreds of representatives from community organisations attended throughout the morning.
The funders were delighted at the opportunity to speak with people face to face, while feedback from the community groups themselves was also very positive.

The Largs Malawi PartnershipAt Holyrood where I welcomed visitors from the Largs Malawi Partnership.
The Malawians travelled from Mazambazi, the partner school of Largs Academy. They were accompanied to Edinburgh by Mrs Gillian Scott, Modern Studies Teacher, Mrs Christine Tait, Religious Education Teacher and four Largs pupils to see First Minister’s Questions.
