Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Citizen of the Year

I was delighted that Cafe Solace volunteer Ann Russell was awarded Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Community Council’s Citizen of the Year, 2025.

Ann has dedicated decades to volunteering and was a very popular winner.

Ann’s brother, Brian Hewitson, was the first Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Citizen of the Year, back in 2006.

Our local communities have so much to thank Ann, Brian and their family for, over not just years but decades.
