Lots of Positive Engagement at Friday’s Funding Fayre

I was delighted that the North Ayrshire Funding Fayre in Saltcoats Town Hall on Friday – the seventh I have organised - was again so well attended.

Eighteen local and national funding bodies including the National Lottery, Creative Scotland, People’s Postcode Lottery and Co-op Community Fund were among those available to discuss available funding streams.

Over 120 representatives from community groups, charities, clubs and social enterprises dropped in to discuss how their organisation could secure funding.

The feedback from funders and community groups was very positive and I was delighted to hear about successful applications which came as a direct result of last year’s event.

Many people and community groups are struggling, and North Ayrshire’s third sector continues to play a hugely important role in supporting and developing our local communities

I trust that funding secured from relationships built from this event will help to pave the way for even more inspiring work.
