Families across North Ayrshire will benefit from £226,000 of additional monies to keep their homes warm this winter, the SNP Government has announced.
Housing associations and North Ayrshire Council will be funded to ensure that social housing meets energy efficiency standards.
Commenting, Kenneth Gibson MSP said:
“The SNP Government has made tackling fuel poverty a priority. This funding is further evidence of that and will help counter the issue for some of our most vulnerable households.
“The SNP Government is also committed to improving energy efficiency, to make it easier and cheaper for tenants to heat their homes.
“It is vital that we continue this action and target it in a way that makes a difference to those who need it most.”
