On Thursday in the Chamber, Kenneth asked the Minister for Community Safety, Ash Denham MSP, about the level of violent crime.
In her response, the Minister highlighted the significant decrease in the levels of violence across Scotland and, since 2006-2007, a 49% decrease in recorded violent crime; a 51% drop in the number of victims of homicide; and a 55% fall in the total number of emergency admissions to hospital resulting from assault.
