A record number of Scottish Employees are being paid the real Living Wage (£10.90) or more.
A recent survey carried out by the Office for National Statistics shows that 91% of employees aged 18 or over earned at least the real Living Wage in 2022, an increase from 85.5% in 2021.
In comparison, 87.5% of employees aged 18 or over in England are paid the real Living Wage or more.
The SNP Government is committed to tackling the cost of living crisis with a Fair Work approach, ensuring workers are paid at least the real Living Wage and these promising figures confirm that Scottish employers are leading the way.
